Why can't the Kirk haters just give up?

I've heard this narrative since basically the day Kirk signed in March 2018. 

"Kirk is getting paid so much money that it is going to ruin the Vikings ability to sign and retain other players"

This was false in 2018. It has been decisively proven false over and over since, up through this week when the Vikings worked things out with Danielle Hunter and signed Sheldon Richardson.

And still the liars, the debunked narrative pushers, the Kirk Cousins Derangement Syndrome patients, they persist. 

GIVE IT UP, ASSHOLES! YOU LOST!

I've never seen anything like it in 30+ years as a Minnesota sports fan. These assholes simply will not let it go.

We are in the 4th offseason of the Cousins era. In that time the Vikings have NEVER had to let go of a player that they were truly determined to keep. That's just a fact.

Oh sure, people insist that last year all those defensive players were let go because of Kirk. Nope. They were let go because they were all either vastly declined players (Rhodes) or were older (Joseph, Griffen). The only exception was probably Trae Waynes, but he wasn't worth paying top dollar for. Now, given how 2020 went this may have been a strategic error, but Kirk's contract had nothing to do with it. He even restructured last year to help the Vikings out further. 

They point to this offseason, and letting Rudolph and Reiff go. But Rudolph was an obvious cut, and they made the Reiff move prior to the plethora of signings they later made. So the money was there if keeping Reiff was a priority. It clearly wasn't. We moved on with Darrisaw. Again, this was a strategic decision, not a money one. Kirk's contract had nothing to do with it.

But you can never convince the KCDS crowd. To them, everything the Vikings don't have is because of Kirk's contract. Why, we would have 22 All Pros if only Kirk wasn't taking up so much cap space. 

The Vikings cap wizards have never let Kirk's contract matter. They never will. Life finds a way.

And the KCDS crowd will never admit how wrong they got this one.

Awful NFL season ends with awful Super Bowl

BUCCANEERS 31 CHIEFS 9 The 2020 NFL season is over. Thank god! A season that was almost across the board unenjoyable, and felt empty and largely felt manipulated, ended with the worst outcome imaginable. With a result that not only continues this 20 year nightmare but that will frankly hurt the NFL for years to come. I was not looking forward to this game. I knew this was going to happen. Maybe not in blowout fashion but I knew the NFL was going to see to it that Tom Brady got his 7th title. The house wins. The game was never fun. Right from the start the Chiefs seemed sleepy, like they weren't really in it. This team plays with swagger, but in this game they had none.
