NFL Week 12 recap
Thanksgiving:
PACKERS 29, LIONS 22
The Lions resumed their great tradition of getting beat on Thanksgiving. Unlike the Bears last week, the Packers were able to hold on and not choke. The Packers have slithered back into wild card contention, and the fraudulent Lions (still the media darlings though) continue their downward trend.
COWBOYS 45, COMMANDERS 10
A reasonably close game got completely out of hand late with a bunch of scores, including a record 5th pick six this season by DaRon Bland.
49ERS 31, SEAHAWKS 13
The 49ers were in control the whole way. Seattle is falling out of the playoffs quickly.
Friday:
DOLPHINS 34, JETS 13
Miami with another easy win over a bad team. The Tim Boyle era of Jets football began with a hilarious 99 yard pick six on a hail mary.
Sunday:
FALCONS 24, SAINTS 15
Atlanta moved back into 1st place in the comical NFC South, which has no winning teams right now.
STEELERS 16, BENGALS 10
The 1st start for Jake Browning was about as expected. Steelers O looked a little better after canning their OC.
JAGUARS 24, TEXANS 21
Jaguars controlled the game, but a couple bonehead decisions by Pederson let the Texans almost make a comeback. Their kicker doinked it off the crossbar from 58 at the gun.
COLTS 27, BUCCANEERS 20
The Colts jumped up into a wild card spot with this win. Tampa losing again is good for the Vikings.
GIANTS 10, PATRIOTS 7
A true clash of titans. The maniac Belichick benched Mac Jones again. Then they missed a field goal at the end.
TITANS 17, PANTHERS 10
A meaningless game between 2 go nowhere teams. The Panthers are going to end up with the league's worst record and won't even have the #1 pick.
RAMS 37, CARDINALS 14
Matthew Stafford turned the clock back for a day and throttled the Cards. Rams have inched back up into playoff contention.
BRONCOS 29, BROWNS 12
That's 5 straight for Denver, who handled the Browns pretty easily.
CHIEFS 31, RAIDERS 17
Another of those classic Chiefs games where they got down multiple scores early then roared back and won. Even with their issues they are 8-3 with only 1 convincing loss.
EAGLES 37, BILLS 34 OT
A crazy game. You know, I think the Lions are a charmed team but they have nothing on the Eagles. Refs. Kicker making a 59 yarder in the rain to tie it. Bills missing a wide open TD in OT. Really damaging loss for the Bills, who fell all the way to the 10th seed.
RAVENS 20, CHARGERS 10
A defensive game mostly, and the Ravens pulled away late. The Chargers continue to sink into the abyss.
