Twitter snapture gets me again
So I'll give Jack and his far right freak friends some credit this time. They found me.
I got suspended for trying to "evade" permanent suspension by creating new accounts. Now, I had created this latest account on July 1st, so taking six weeks to find me is maybe not THAT impressive. But I hadn't had any of those little dings in that time, so I was starting to feel fairly safe. So I feel pretty blindsided.
I'm guessing they either found me through my phone number, although I was able to confirm the account with it so why the wait? Or they somehow found me through the twitter browser cause my old stuff was still on there, although I never accessed my latest account through anything except the app. Or perhaps in some creepy database the name "Skolney" itself is some flagged term, although again I was that name there almost right away.
I feel like I've made a lot of blog posts about my issues with twitter. The flap over their singular defense of Alex Jones pretty much proves where they stand politically. There is surely going to be a day soon where a twitter alternative, one that doesn't cater to right wingers, arises. I look forward to that, cause again, the twitter format is a great thing.
I stayed away almost 2 months during the last suspension. Part if it was, at that point, I wasn't sure there was even a way to EVER get back on twitter. Turns out it was pretty simple. Didn't even have to change my phone number, which was a hassle I was not very interested in doing, especially without any certainty it would work. It might have helped that I stayed away for a while, rather than instantly try to make a new account.
And I also did not want to return unless I knew, weird as it sounds, if there was a life beyond twitter. Obviously I do more in life than tweet, but as far as my online life it's been THE thing, overwhelmingly so, since at least 2011. My news, my interactions, my simply browsing for funny jokes, whatever. So I guess that's been taken from me again, but during my last exile I kind of re-engaged with Facebook(which yes, is its own kind of cesspool, but at least you can say what you want) and really for the 1st time ever got going on Reddit. I really enjoyed posting there during Twins games, in particular. Still haven't found anything that works as well as twitter for instant news, but I guess that search continues.
Yeah I'll get back on twitter again, although at this point some people on there have to be annoyed with me re-following them over and over. The next account will be my 4th in less than a year. Might have to retire the "skolney" handle to stay extra secret. I did appeal this suspension, of course, but I know that's all automated and you never win an appeal.
But whatever enterprising young fellow is working on a Twitter alternative, please hurry up.
Jack really has it in for you. Maybe a little jealous?
ReplyDeleteDotard can say whatever he wants, including threaten to get us all killed and Jack is like it’s fine. I honestly don’t get it. But I guess Twitter likes to cater to RWNJ.
I guess Twitter is going on a banning spree this week. Still ridiculous. Technically I broke their evading suspension rule weeks ago but they didn't care til now.
DeleteRight, which means the previous suspensions were unfounded. If your tweets were as bad as Jack and the RWNJ made them out to be your phone should have been blocked in the system and therefore you should not have been able to confirm your account that way. You may have to use an email address or find a friend’s phone number to use.
