Why do our fans act like winning a Super Bowl is EASY?

We should know better. We should know it as well as any fanbase.

Crunch the damn numbers:

You have 32 franchises.

12 have never won a Super Bowl.

8 have won it just once, including the Chiefs and Jets, whose titles were 50 years ago.

And even of the 12 that have multiple titles, 5 of those haven't won any since 1995. Miami hasn't won one since 1973. The Raiders haven't since 1983.

The lucky 7 that have had both multiple titles, and won recently: Packers, Patriots, Steelers, Ravens, Giants, Broncos and Colts(and even they only have 1 in Indy).

Yet our impossibly stupid and reactionary fanbase and media want to clean house less than a year since an NFC championship game appearance.

I'm sorry you spoiled, fairweather fucks aren't getting the 19-0 Super Bowl winning juggernaut you have all decided you were promised. But you god damn assholes are raging at this team like they are the 2008 Detroit Lions, like they are a top to bottom disaster of an organization with no hope in either the present or the future.

You don't respond to a season like this by cleaning house. You tweak. Maybe that means letting Defilippo go, although I highly doubt they fire an OC midseason for the 2nd time in 3 years. Maybe it simply means you have a roster with weaknesses that you need to address in the offseason. Maybe it's just the cyclical nature of the NFL, to which only the Patriots seem immune, causing an inevitable drop season, a la 1999(which this season has reminded me of a lot). Maybe it's also a season where the schedule has been a beast, so having one slip-up against the Bills can screw the whole thing up. Seriously, if anybody said before the season we would go 0 for 4 against the Rams, Saints, Patriots and the Bears in the stadium we're cursed in, would that have surprised anybody with half a brain?

If people bought into the "super bowl or bust" bullshit before the season, that's on you for being a fucking idiot. Seasons like 2017 or 2009 or 1998 do not just happen every year unless you live in BAHston.

So grow the fuck up. Accept that you are not entitled to winning a super bowl just because the Vikings haven't won one before, and came close less than 12 months ago. Stop sending nasty ass comments to every single god damn post from the Vikings or Kirk Cousins on social media.

Be better than you're being. Cause a fanbase that acts like so much of ours is acting this season does not deserve to ever see their team hoist a Lombardi Trophy.
