The worst Twins loss of the year

Granted, this debacle of a ballgame against the Indians tonight is only the 20th loss of the whole year, but it's the worst.

They've lost by more. They've looked worse at the plate. But this loss is hands down the worst of the year. And it's especially painful since one potential bit of help was also lost.

On the night the Twins lost the Craig Kimbrel sweepstakes(if they were ever in it to begin with), they cap a simply horrendous night by watching Blake Parker come in and shit the bed in epic fashion. A 7-5 lead turned into an 8-7 deficit in a blink. Fuck you, Blake. This makes two losses to Cleveland this year that you giftwrapped.

Oh but to be fair the fuckups on this night were plentiful. The team that almost never loses consecutive games looked primed to again bounce back. A 5-1 lead after 3, facing an Indians bullpen game, so of course more runs were coming.

But Martin Perez peed down his leg, his 2nd consecutive dreadful start. Fucker couldn't even finish 5.
The Indians beat shift after shift. I swear we get beat on those so much they aren't worth doing.
Awful defensive blunders by Sano and Castro.
The bats largely go silent.
Home plate ump Laz Diaz absolutely fucks us inning after inning on top of all that.

And yet still, we come out of the rain delay, tack on a run and have a chance to win.

Then Parker happens. Asshole did the same shit against Milwaukee last week but at least there we led by 5.
Then Officer Doofy gives up his own solo bomb for good measure. The bats quit, and Cleveland beats us again.

Yes this only closes the gap to 10 in the loss column(9 1/2 overall), and really only an Indians sweep in this series was truly gonna move the needle, but the Twins have now given a team, and really a whole franchise ready to pack it in for 2019 a jolt of life.

Such is the life of Minnesota sports. Hopefully the Twins can salvage a game from this series, and hopefully Falvine makes some moves for badly needed bullpen help.
