Dissecting Justin Timberlake's FAKE apology
Oh, you JUST saw them, you pencil-dicked fuckwad? People have been coming at you for your disgusting misogyny and ripping off black culture for years.
"I am deeply sorry for the times in my life where my actions contributed to the problem"
2nd sentence and this already ceases to be an apology. Contributed? No, it was YOU, ASSHOLE! ALL YOU! Also, he doesn't bother to cite any specific actions or problems.
"where I spoke out of turn, or did not speak up for what was right,"
Spoke out of turn is a strange way to describe repeatedly bragging in public about fucking Britney, often in graphic detail.
"I understand that I fell short in these moments"
Oh right. Moments. They were just isolated moments and not a well documented pattern of behavior.
"and benefitted from a system that condones misogyny and racism"
You still benefit today. The fact you even have any career left at all is testament to that.
"I specifically want to apologize to Britney Spears and Janet Jackson both individually, because I care for and respect these women and I know I failed."
What a flat out fucking lie. He does not and did not care for or respect either one. If he did it would not take backlash from a damn documentary to hear about it. He also again fails to offer any specific situations he is apologizing for. What did you do to them, Justin? Tell us. We want to hear YOU say it.
"I also feel compelled to respond, in part, because everyone involved deserves better"
No, Justin, not everyone. YOU don't deserve better. And no, you felt compelled because of the backlash since Framing Britney Spears aired. It's not like you have been sitting in your mansion racked with guilt for years.
"This is a larger conversation that I wholeheartedly want to be part of and grow from"
Justin shamelessly tries to spin this into a story of him becoming a better man. Puke. As usual it is all about him and how he feels. Justin Timberlake being part of the movement to eradicate misogyny is like Donald Trump being part of the movement to make politics more polite.
"The industry is flawed. It sets men, especially white men, up for success."
It's not MY fault. It's the industry! I'm just a victim of the system!
FUCK OFF!
You never had a problem with the industry when it was propping your talentless ass up as the second coming. And the industry did not make you do what you did to Britney.
This spineless coward REFUSES to take an iota of responsibility.
"As a man in a privileged position I have to be vocal about this."
You have been in the public eye for over 20 years and have never said a thing about it. You have been one of the worst perpetrators of the problem.
"Because of my ignorance, I didn't recognize it for all that it was while it was happening in my own life but I do not want to ever benefit from others being pulled down again."
He almost gets there on this line. But the damage he did to these people can't be undone. And he is still trying to use this whole thing as self-promotion.
"I have not been perfect in navigating all of this throughout my career"
Ya think???
"I know this apology is a first step and doesn't absolve the past"
Well it's barely even an apology, so...
He has spent more time playing victim than actually apologizing.
"I want to take accountability for my own missteps in all of this as well as be part of a world that uplifts and supports"
I I I me me me. And...my own missteps? As opposed to what? Oh right, Britney and Janet have to share the guilt, right? And yet again he won't cite any specifics.
The world he claims to want to be a part of has a lot fewer Justin Timberlakes, who is so adamant about this that he cheated on his wife on his last movie set.
"I care deeply about the well being of the people I love and have loved. I can do better and I will do better."
Yeah he cares about Britney so much that he has spent nearly 2 decades trashing her at every opportunity, particularly during the worst periods of her life in the 2000s.
This so-called apology is complete and utter horseshit. He most likely didn't personally write a word of it, of course. It reeks of a publicist. There is nothing in it that could even help a newbie to this situation know what the hell he is even referencing. For a so-called apology he spends most of it talking about himself as a victim or only partially responsible.
I suppose it's better than nothing. At least enough people have finally caught on to what this son of a bitch has done to Britney, Janet and countless other women over the years, including his current wife, that the heat got to be enough so that even this cookie cutter apology was sent out.
But it changes nothing. Justin is still a fucking garbage human being, who crushed Britney's heart and Janet's career, and faced ZERO consequences for it as the same media that turned these women into villains gaslit a whole god damn country into thinking he was some sort of musical genius.
All is NOT forgiven. It will never be.
I think a publicist would have done a better job of writing an apology. Maybe his son wrote it.
