NFL Week 10 recap
Thursday:
[Panthers 25, Falcons 15]
Well, the NFC South is making it very clear that they are just going to give their division to Tampa without even trying.
Sunday:
[Buccaneers 21, Seahawks 16]
Right on cue the Seahawks revert to garbage in the service of Brady. It's telling that as putrid as Seattle was Tampa only eeked out a win. No matter. Tampa is a mortal lock to win the NFC South and win at minimum one playoff game. The misery isn't over yet.
[Lions 31, Bears 30]
Another big game from Justin Fields, and another Bears loss. The Lions have actually pulled into 3rd.
[Chiefs 27, Jaguars 17]
Nothing special, just a workmanlike performance by the Chiefs.
[Giants 24, Texans 16]
Nothing special, just a workmanlike performance by the Giants.
[Dolphins 39, Browns 17]
Miami is now a 1st place team and sits in the 2 seed. Gotta say they are a super bowl contender with a healthy Tua.
[Titans 17, Broncos 10]
Ryan Tannehill returned and the Titans, unimpressive as they may seem, win again and keep a stranglehold on their division. Hope they can beat the Packers next.
[Steelers 20, Saints 10]
Steelers get TJ Watt back and get a rare win. Saints flirted with contention for a while, but nah.
[Colts 25, Raiders 20]
Jeff Saturday being named head coach was absurd. Yet he still goes to 1-0 because in his 1st game he got to face the fiasco that is the Josh McDaniels Raiders. That might be the biggest disaster hire of all time.
[Packers 31, Cowboys 28 OT]
Well, we knew the Packers weren't going to lose forever. Dallas blew this one. They had a 14 point lead. They stupidly tried a 4th down in field goal range in OT. Dallas's defense had their worst game of the year. I'm sure Rodgers was more engaged with Mike McCarthy on the other sideline.
[Cardinals 27, Rams 17]
A battle of backup QBs for fading teams went the way of the road team. The Rams fall has been truly stunning. One of the worst encores for a super bowl winner ever.
[49ers 22, Chargers 16]
A comeback win for the 49ers, who I still think are sizable NFC west favorites.
Monday:
[Commanders 32, Eagles 21]
Hey remember a week ago when the Vikings were savaged for barely beating Washington in Washington? Well the Eagles lost at home to Washington, ending their undefeated season. Obviously the Eagles were going to lose eventually, but this punctures their aura of invincibility. The Vikings now sit tied for the best record in the NFL, and given their remaining schedule compared to Philly, have a legitimate shot to finish as the #1 seed.
