Marvel Phase 4

Movies:

Black Widow. Obviously we knew this was coming next May. I'm hoping that Florence Pugh takes over the Black Widow mantle.

The Eternals. Of all the new projects this is the one I'm probably the least excited for. It has an interesting, eclectic cast though.

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. I like that they're bringing in the Mandarin. Honestly I just hope they get the kung fu right.

Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness. A straight horror movie that goes full multiverse craziness. This could frankly be amazing. Love that Scarlet Witch will be in it.

Thor: Love and Thunder. I am literally living for this for the next 2 years. I would already be super hyped for another Taika Waititi Thor movie, with a lot of Valkyrie. But bringing back Natalie, and having her become Lady Thor? That's so fucking incredible that I can't even describe my excitement. And as a bonus it is already pissing off the incels.

Blade. Mahershala Ali is great casting. This one is pretty far off, so who knows what approach they'll take. Those first 2 Blade movies are still among my favorite comic book movies ever.

Shows:

The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. Cool that Zemo is back as a villain. They should release this on December 16th.

WandaVision. I'm down for anything involving Elisabeth Olsen, especially if they're gonna finally unlock full Scarlet Witch.

Loki. The show I'm the least hyped for. I just thought Loki was a lot less compelling when he was still a full on villain.

What If. I usually can't get into animated superhero shows. But the possibilities with this one are through the roof.

Hawkeye. About the only thing we know is that he trains Kate Bishop to take over the Hawkeye mantle.

It wasn't announced, but I'm guessing that summer 2021 will include the next Spiderman movie. Sony isn't gonna just sit around and not do another Spiderman movie for 4 or 5 years, especially after that cliffhanger. So that year would have FOUR MCU movies, plus shows.

And informally they confirmed the next Black Panther, Captain Marvel and Guardians, plus Fantastic Four and X-Men. But we knew all that.

  1. Taika Waititi stayed on Twitter that Jane will be Mighty Thor which is even better. I’m fairly confident I’ll be seeing this opening night, I mean I have PTO to use.
Knowing the MCU they will release F & WS on December 16th just as a little tribute to fans.
I’m seriously looking forward to What If especially since Agent Carter was cancelled way too soon. I’m hoping this will give fans some closure.
Disney Plus can just take my money.
