Christmas is ruined. Now time for the Festivus airing of grievances. 

Entering this MNF game the Vikings already had at best an extreme long shot for an NFC North title. We were at the mercy of the remaining wreckage of the Lions. But we had a win and out scenario to grab the 5 seed and get the NFC East winner in 2 weeks. 

Well....all those hopes went up in flames in a disheartening, disgraceful, pitiful performance against the god damn Packers.

Were we tanking? Was it decided that going all out to get out of the 6 seed was not worth the trouble? I simply do not understand what I saw. This offensive game plan was nothing short of a disgrace. This was like watching John DeFillippo self-sabotage games last year against the Patriots and Seahawks. Nothing I saw in this game on the offensive side of the ball indicated a desire to win a very important football game. 

This game was over at halftime. Even though we were leading 10-9 it felt like we were losing. Our 10 points were a product of a turnover prone Packers team. Kirk hit one perfect TD laser to Diggs, but that was it.

Kevin Stefanski's hopes of getting a head coaching job should be over now. He treated this game like we have a brilliant OL and a healthy Dalvin Cook. 

We don't. 

Stefanski called maybe one rollout all night. Maybe 1 or 2 play actions. No screens. He kept calling runs up the middle with Mike Boone despite him getting no.blocking either. The offensive numbers for this game are horrific.

And it wasted a performance by this defense that at times was dazzling. They were physical. They were forcing turnovers. They had Aaron Rodgers visibly scared. They couldn't stop the run much, but as halftime hit they had done everything they possibly could to carry the team to victory. 

The dam was eventually going to break if the offense never figured it out. And they never did. The play calling in the 2nd half was no better. The blocking was no better. It was a disaster.

The Packers took the lead. Then when we had a 4th and 1 around midfield and Mike Zimmer chose to punt the fucking football I gave up. Why not? He just did. With a quarter left. I will always be pro-Zimmer, but I have never been more furious with a decision he has made. 

It's all that much worse that we let the Packers win for the first time at the purple palace, AND win the north, AND likely even get a bye week now. That fucking team is going to win 13 games and might even get home field advantage if Seattle beats the 49ers next week. 

The Packers will probably go to the fucking super bowl now. All cause these assholes decided to pull a fucking no show tonight.

So where do the Vikings go from here? I have no idea. This locks us into the 6 seed. Our 1st round opponent is probably the Saints most likely, barring upsets. It renders the Bears game next week completely meaningless. I would assume we just sit guys. We lost Kendricks tonight and a couple other guys got banged up.

This is such a soul-draining thing to see. I try to keep my hopes up, but it's gonna be hard now. I feel like all my enthusiasm for this season just got flushed down the drain. 

The Vikings have ZERO chance to go win a playoff game in 2 weeks. I don't care where we play. This team still needs a lot of work.

Awful NFL season ends with awful Super Bowl

BUCCANEERS 31 CHIEFS 9 The 2020 NFL season is over. Thank god! A season that was almost across the board unenjoyable, and felt empty and largely felt manipulated, ended with the worst outcome imaginable. With a result that not only continues this 20 year nightmare but that will frankly hurt the NFL for years to come. I was not looking forward to this game. I knew this was going to happen. Maybe not in blowout fashion but I knew the NFL was going to see to it that Tom Brady got his 7th title. The house wins. The game was never fun. Right from the start the Chiefs seemed sleepy, like they weren't really in it. This team plays with swagger, but in this game they had none. Patrick Mahomes was under enormous pressure from the start. The Chiefs grabbed the 1st lead at 3-0 but then from basically the end of the 1st quarter until halftime it was a nightmare.
