MAGAts ruining everything

I was dumb.

I got optimistic that the dark days were at least close to subsiding somewhat. 

Sports and movies were coming back soon.

And then...the COVID cases spiked to their highest levels, particularly in those southern states with Trump lovers running things.

Those fucking MAGAt pieces of shit. Those subhuman pieces of trash who won't do even the tiniest thing to prevent massive spread. Those assholes who stormed government buildings armed to the teeth demanding their bars and salons be re-opened, science be damned. Those pricks who get put on video every single day making public spectacles of themselves because businesses want them, in many cases require them, to wear a mask.

As I have said many times, I wish it were as simple as these MAGAts get the virus and nobody else catches it from them. I would celebrate daily if the MAGAts were the only ones dying. All Trump supporters deserve to die, and die in horrible ways. But alas the virus doesn't work in simple, moral ways. The MAGAts selfishness and stupidity puts everyone in danger. 

And now it is also destroying the chances us decent, sane people had of getting back some of those things that make us happy.

We should have been just a couple weeks away from movie theaters opening back up wide, albeit with limited capacity. Tenet was all set to be that first big movie back in mid-July. With Mulan, Bill and Ted Face The Music, and Wonder Woman 1984 also hitting before September.

Now all have been delayed further. It is very much time to start wondering if we even get Black Widow in November. 

I'm actually waiting for a studio to basically just say "fuck America" and release one of these things overseas, with no set US date. One like Mulan would likely have made more globally than domestically anyway.

There are actually a couple theaters around here that are open, including the one in Eagan that I used to go to all the time back when it was the hot new thing (Stadium Seating!), but it's not the same. 

And as for sports, well, as of now the various returns are all still a go, but they are no longer guaranteed. For the same reasons. 

MLB was supposed to have already released their 2020 schedule by now. Clearly they are delaying for as long as they can, to see if they can even play in some of these cities.

The big Florida bubble that was to house the NBA, WNBA, and MLS is still on for now, but numerous players have already opted out of the season for safety concerns. It's highly unlikely they will be the last, especially if things keep going this way. One wonders if at some point the dropouts become so numerous that it derails the whole thing.

The NHL is set up a little better, since their bubble city idea can possibly keep them out of those southern hot spots. And the NFL still has time.on their side, as training camps are still a month away. 

But none of these leagues returning or playing can be assumed at all anymore.

Frankly, all these.leagues need to get the hell out of Florida, Texas, Arizona, probably southern California, and maybe other southern states for the foreseeable future. You have to just cut off these dumbass states. Punish those right wing politicians who let this resurgence happen, and the MAGAts who in some cases forced it.

The whole rest of the world has slowed this pandemic. The whole rest of the world never let it hit them this badly, or for this long. And frankly much of this country does do what needs to be done, Minnesota included. But it's that crop of MAGAts that are ruining it for everyone, and are going to make certain that we as a country remain neck deep in this through at least November.
