NFL Week 3 recap

Thursday:

[Browns 29, Steelers 17]
The Browns are 1 blown onside kick from being 3-0, but are also a 58 yard field goal from being 1-2. Pittsburgh has to go to the rookie Pickett if they want to salvage their own season.

Sunday:

[Ravens 37, Patriots 26]

Basically aside from the 4th quarter against Miami, the Ravens have been as good as anybody this year. Mac Jones got hurt, so the Patriots season is already in trouble.

[Panthers 22, Saints 14]

The Saints very much stink this year. The Vikings need to take care of business in London.

[Bears 23, Texans 20]

Somehow the Bears have managed to be 2-1 despite not playing a single good game.

[Colts 20, Chiefs 17]

The stunner of the week. The Chiefs looked very good for 2 weeks. The Colts looked awful, and got shut out last week. So naturally the Colts win, with some help from a series of crucial Chiefs mistakes.

[Eagles 24, Commanders 8]

The Eagles might just be that good. I'm already deeply regretting picking Washington to win the east.

[Dolphins 21, Bills 19]

Another stunner, but only because I genuinely thought Buffalo might flirt with an undefeated run. But their offense showed some mortality, and Tua made enough plays. The Dolphins have to be taken seriously, although I still fully expect the Bills to win that division.

[Bengals 27, Jets 12]

Bengals get their 1st win in an easy snoozer.

[Titans 24, Raiders 22]

The battle of 0-2 playoff teams goes to the home team. The Raiders offense sure isn't soaring with Davante Adams.

[Jaguars 38, Chargers 10]

The score stunner of the week. A hobbled Herbert was completely ineffective. The Jaguars really could be a south contender.

[Falcons 27, Seahawks 23]

Atlanta has actually been in position to win all 3 games so far. Seattle is already sinking into the abyss.

[Packers 14, Buccaneers 12]

"Rodgers outduels Brady" say the headlines. Uh, no, there was no dueling. 26 points total is not a QB duel. The defenses were the story. Brady completely sucks right now but I will not be tricked again.

[Rams 20, Cardinals 12]

Arizona reverts to stinking after their big comeback last week. The Rams certainly have not been impressive but the west looks very weak so they still lead it.

[Broncos 11, 49ers 10]

A game that set the NFL back years. Is Russell Wilson just done? Jimmy Garappolo safeties himself a la Orlovsky.

Monday:
[Cowboys 23, Giants 16]

Giants lose their first game, to the immortal Cooper Rush. Dallas is certainly not impressive but they may be Philly's only challenger.
