NFL Week 14 recap

Thursday:

[Rams 17, Raiders 16]

Just when it looked like the Raiders were salvaging something from their season they implode and blow a late 2 score lead and give up a 98 yard gw drive by Baker Mayfield, who had only been a Ram for 2 days.

Sunday:

[Eagles 48, Giants 22]

No doubt, the Eagles (who have all but clinched the #1 seed) are looking like far and away the NFC's best team. And the Giants are falling fast.

[Bills 20, Jets 12]

Another pretty ugly game between these two teams, but this time the Bills ground out the win.

[Cowboys 27, Texans 23]

Almost the upset of the year, and if the 1 win Texans hadn't botched a goal to go chance late they might have won in Dallas.

[Ravens 16, Steelers 14]

The Ravens just keep staying afloat, this time eeking out a win without Lamar and over an improving Steelers team.

[Bengals 23, Browns 10]

Pretty easy win for the Bengals over the Browns, who have received no bump so far from Watson.

[Jaguars 36, Titans 22]

Second win in 3 weeks for the Jaguars over a playoff team. The Titans are what people think the Vikings are, a team certain to win a division title yet not actually all that good.

[Chiefs 34, Broncos 28]

Chiefs were blowing out the disastrous Broncos 27-0, then had to hold on late (and see Russell Wilson concussed) to avoid an enormous collapse. Not sure what it means.

[49ers 35, Buccaneers 7]

Well, on one hand it would have helped the Vikings to have the 49ers lose. But on the other hand, how humorous to see Tom Brady take it on the chin like this, and against a team starting a rookie 3rd string QB. Brock Purdy played well though. Is it possible that Kyle Shanahan is just a very good coach?

[Panthers 30, Seahawks 24]

A very damaging loss for Seattle's playoff hopes. And the Panthers actually pulled to within a game of Tampa, who they already beat.

[Chargers 23, Dolphins 17]

A big win for the Chargers, who keep pace in the wild card race, and a damaging loss for Miami, who in 2 weeks have gone from potential #1 seed to fighting for a wild card themselves.

Monday:

[Patriots 27, Cardinals 13]

The Patriots jumped back into a playoff position. Whatever miniscule hopes the Cardinals had left died when Kyler Murray tore his ACL.
