No Moore Maya

The Lynx will really need a lot of that odd year magic to win a title this year, now that Maya Moore has indeed decided to sit out the year(and deep down I suspect, maybe for good).

It was already going to be a transition year, with Whalen retired and likely without Brunson too. Now the Lynx are likely down 3 of the original core 4. They won't even have my lady Ceci right away. Fowles remains, and Augustus is back again. But it will be a very different season.

I figured the Moore rumors were true when they signed Karima Christmas-Kelly, who plays the same position. And they might be getting Damiras Dantas back. Moore's contract comes off the books for the season, so they have that extra money to spend too. And they have their highest draft pick since Moore, so hopefully they grab somebody really good there.

    Nicely done with the title. It pains me to say it but I think the Lynx dominance might be over. The rest of the league has gotten leaps and bounds better-which is great for the league. And a e’re missing key pieces to the team that made those dominant runs.
    I think you might be right about Moore stepping away for good. Maybe it’s a combination of burnout and personal reasons. She has to do what’s best for her. If you’re heart isn’t in it shows.

Awful NFL season ends with awful Super Bowl

BUCCANEERS 31 CHIEFS 9 The 2020 NFL season is over. Thank god! A season that was almost across the board unenjoyable, and felt empty and largely felt manipulated, ended with the worst outcome imaginable. With a result that not only continues this 20 year nightmare but that will frankly hurt the NFL for years to come. I was not looking forward to this game. I knew this was going to happen. Maybe not in blowout fashion but I knew the NFL was going to see to it that Tom Brady got his 7th title. The house wins. The game was never fun. Right from the start the Chiefs seemed sleepy, like they weren't really in it. This team plays with swagger, but in this game they had none. Patrick Mahomes was under enormous pressure from the start. The Chiefs grabbed the 1st lead at 3-0 but then from basically the end of the 1st quarter until halftime it was a nightmare.
