How can we possibly survive this?

Remember all that talk about the oncoming 2nd Civil War? Well, it's here, and the 2 sides are:

1. The American citizens and government officials who are genuinely trying their best to slow the spread of COVID,  and do what they can to limit both the human and economic casualties of all this.

2. The American citizens and government officials (including the treasonous murderer in the White House) who are doing everything they possibly can to keep COVID running rampant through this country, and ensure that if and when this nightmare is over we don't even have a country left. Or if we do it's a third world one. 

Group one is bigger. It is. As lost as we are right now  I still have no doubt more people are willing (at least grudgingly) to do even the most basic of things to try to help the situation.

But this doesn't work as long as group 2 exists, and has the power they do  

We are the joke of the world. EVERY other country has done better than we have. EVERY other country has at least slowed the spread, and a few have practically wiped it out completely, just through the basic measures we can't get done here. NO other country is still being ravaged like this months later. We are the only ones who can't get our collective shit together.

And it is ENTIRELY deliberate. Group 2 wants it this way. Donald Trump, who should be fucking EXECUTED for mass murder, brags about how many he has killed, about how he is doing nothing to help, about how he won't wear a mask, about how many millions of lives he has destroyed by nuking the economy. 

And his death cult cheers him on. They rage like children at anyone who asks or requires them to wear a mask. They STILL call the virus itself fake news, that the media is just blowing this up to get Biden elected.

Now they are even showing their willingness....hell, their EAGERNESS to sacrifice their own children in service of their cult leader. Trump and his evil cabal are trying to force schools to all re-open in the fall for in-person classes, even though the idea of forcing hundreds of people into an enclosed space for hours a day with zero safety plan in the middle of a raging pandemic that is reaching new heights of awfulness in many states is THE STUPIDEST FUCKING PLAN EVER!

These maniacs cannot wait to put their own kids in danger, and for what? It's all just another attempted means to get Trump re-elected. Their love of Trump matters more to them than their own kids. How do you ever get through to people like this? It's impossible.

The fact is Trump knows this evil. The cruelty is the point. He has only 2 roads left to getting re-elected. One is to just cheat like mad, but with Biden looking so strong in all the swing states and even Texas, even that may be too much. The other is to make sure this country is in such a state of coast to coast chaos by November that it leads to a major depression of the vote, since the people who would stay home are far more likely to be Biden voters (the Trumpers won't stay home even if going to the polls guarantees their own death).

The fact is that, the way things are going right now, and sure to get worse, we cannot wait til next January for this sociopath, this murderer, to be out of office. But nobody is going to assassinate this fucker, so I don't know what we can do. 

We are mired in the most evil, corrupt, murderous, anti-American regime in this country's history by far. We have had presidents who have orchestrated the murder of people in other countries, but never our own. 

It's hard to not dip into total despair. I truly do not know how we can survive another 6 months of this.
