NFL Week 6 recap

Thursday:

[Commanders 12, Bears 7]

Another TNF classic. Both teams stunk. The Bears would have won if Darnell Mooney, who last week made an all time top 5 catch on us, simply made a pretty easy grab at the goal line.

Sunday:

[Jets 27, Packers 10]

What a delight! Now, I'm not going to get suckered in and pronounce the Packers done. They're still going to be there in December, but Rodgers is not going to be able to flip a switch and become invincible anymore. And...are the Jets actually good? TBD.

[Steelers 20, Buccaneers 18]

What a delight! Brady gets beat by a Steelers team that was one of the worst in the league, and again was exposed for being a terrible teammate when cameras caught him yelling at his OL. No wonder Gisele is dumping his ass.

[Falcons 28, 49ers 14]

The 49ers remain one of the league's more puzzling teams. Atlanta might be a 1st place team if the refs hadn't screwed them last week in service of Brady.

[Giants 24, Ravens 20]

The Giants join the Vikings as surprising 5-1 teams. The Ravens blew another double digit lead, and Lamar Jackson threw an ungodly pick late to basically give the Giants the game. Ravens would be right there with the NFL's elite if they could close.

[Patriots 38, Browns 15]

Okay, it's just 2 blowouts over bad teams, but the Patriots might be becoming scary. I don't know if they can do this against the Bills, but watch out. I'm very worried about Thanksgiving.

[Colts 34, Jaguars 27]

Well that mini-uprising by the Jags sure fizzled fast. The Colts got a big game by Matt Ryan and will probably be battling it out with Tennessee after all.

[Bengals 30, Saints 26]

Cincy climbs back to .500 and a 1st place tie, despite still not looking that impressive.

[Rams 24, Panthers 10]

Carolina's 1st game after firing Matt Rhule was more of the same. They literally might not win another game this year. The Rams keep winning as much with defense as offense.

[Bills 24, Chiefs 20]

The game of the week wasn't quite the shootout as the playoff game was, with each QB looking mortal at times. Imo that makes for more interesting football. The Bills are now clearly the AFC favorites, cause they have the edge for home field advantage. Fwiw the Chiefs haven't had to even play a road playoff game with Mahomes.

[Seahawks 19, Cardinals 9]

The Cardinals lack of offense remains puzzling (although Murray will shred the Donatell D in a couple weeks). Seattle is tied for first, which of course we all expected after 6 weeks.

Monday:

[Chargers 19, Broncos 16 OT]

Another Broncos classic. Chargers weren't much better, but they got the muffed punt that ended the game and prevented a tie.
