NFL Week 7 recap

Thursday:

JAGUARS 31, SAINTS 24

A very rare good Thursday night game. The Jags were pretty much in control the whole way, but the Saints kept it close, and just missed a tying TD

Sunday:

RAVENS 38, LIONS 6

Well well well. Look at what happens to the Lions when they actually play a good team that is willing to catch a football. Lamar Jackson dominated. I believe this was 28-0 before the mighty Lions even got a 1st down. And Detroit could never even make it a game. But of course the media loves the Lions and will never call THEM frauds.

BEARS 30, RAIDERS 12

The Bears started Tyson Bagent, and naturally blew out the Raiders, who themselves started Brian Hoyer.

FALCONS 16, BUCCANEERS 13

In a battle for first place (really), the Falcons had a couple awful turnovers, but escaped with a field goal at the buzzer.

BROWNS 39, COLTS 38

Naturally a wild game with this score came down to the refs fixing the finish. The Browns sort of benched Mr. Massage for PJ Walker. The Colts put up a ton of points on the supposedly elite Browns D. The Colts D made the stop at the end...but then a pair of dreadfully bad calls handed the Browns the game, even though they still needed a 4th down run that just barely broke the plane.

PATRIOTS 29, BILLS 25

Bill Belichick's 300th win* came in big upset fashion over a Bills team that is just a mess offensively. A late Bills rally was followed by a Mac Jones GWD.

GIANTS 14, COMMANDERS 7

Not much offense here, but the Tyrod Taylor-led Giants made the late defensive stop to seal the win.

STEELERS 24, RAMS 17

Two of the hardest teams to figure out naturally played a game I picked wrong. The Steelers defense made some big plays to swing the game their way.

SEAHAWKS 20, CARDINALS 10

Nothing special here. Seattle has only lost once since week 1 and is solidly looking like a playoff team.

BRONCOS 19, PACKERS 17

Another poor Jordan Love game. Denver tried to blow it, but a long field goal and pick of Love sealed it. Nice to see how fast Love has imploded.

CHIEFS 31, CHARGERS 17

If the Chiefs could catch in week 1 they'd be undefeated. They don't seem to be dominating, but Mahomes is Mahomes and their defense is legitimately very good. The AFC is gonna run through Arrowhead again. Meanwhile the Chargers would be 1-5 if TJ Hockenson could catch the ball.

EAGLES 31, DOLPHINS 17

The week's marquee game figured to be a shootout, but the Dolphins couldn't keep up. They've kind of flopped in their two highest profile games this year. The Eagles meanwhile are going to be tough to beat at home come the playoffs.
