NFL = N***** Fuck You League

Well, the NFL really did it this time. They bent over and took it up the ass from Trump like they were Sean Hannity. Banning peaceful protest under the threat of fines.

Classic example of the so called liberal media (which doesn't exist and hasn't for years) allowing the right wing to completely distort a story so they can have their way.

Nobody protested against the flag.

Nobody protested against the military.

Nobody protested against America.

Anyone who believes any of those 3 fallacies can kindly drop dead.

I'm not black, but if I were I imagine I would be pretty god damn worried on a daily basis that today was going to be the day some sociopath cop with no worry of repercussions was going to decide to kill me for literally no reason. Cause it happens, despite what the Trumptards insist. So Colin Kaepernick and then a few other players do a silent, utterly harmless protest during the anthem, and the Nazis lose their fucking minds.

Then Dotard chimes in and it becomes a huge thing. And here comes the NFL, less than a year later, instituting their new anti-free speech rules. Again, sure, they can do this if they want. They can make their rules as they choose, but doing so tells the world what these people are.

This is a league that did nothing for decades about player safety, and concussions. Nothing. This is a league that destroyed evidence in Spygate, and just let the Patriots go about their cheating. But a few players protest the murders of Unarmed black people and OH MY GOD WE MUST DO SOMETHING NOW!!!

So in less than a year we have this new censorship. Now, the NFL will probably lie and say the protests were hurting it's business, but that's a lie. Ratings had dipped, but not cause of that. Ratings had dipped to a combination of things(oversaturation of games,  decreased quality of play, lack of drama (particularly in the AFC), the fact ratings for almost everything have gone down, or just the fact the NFL had hit its peak of popularity and had an inevitable dip).

This will hurt the NFL in the long run. They have basically just confirmed all the worst stereotypes about themselves. I never have really bought the notion that the league was going to go under completely years from now. But now you've got the decreased youth participation, and if you're some young black athlete in particular, and you have a choice, are you really going to choose to devote yourself to trying to make it into a league that has now signaled they value the racist rednecks who would just as soon see you dead, over the lives of people like you?

My own NFL interest has dipped dramatically in recent years. If it's not the Vikings I really don't care that much anymore, due to the previously listed reasons. Basically under Goodell this league has been just killing itself. They have done almost everything wrong they possibly can. And now they have added this extra level of disgust. And they're going to realize that. They have taken a stand on the wrong side of history.
