NFL Week 14 recap
Thursday:
PATRIOTS 21, STEELERS 18
A 2nd straight disastrous home loss for the Steelers, who have probably sacrificed any chance to make the playoffs.
Sunday:
BEARS 28, LIONS 13
The frauds got exposed yet again, and this time the Bears didn't give it all away at the end. Honestly at this point in time Chicago is the better team.
RAVENS 37, RAMS 31 OT
A wild game, in which there were numerous lead changes. The Rams have really figured things out. Thankfully the Ravens made enough big plays, and then got the walkoff punt return in OT.
BROWNS 31, JAGUARS 27
Trevor Lawrence surprisingly played just 6 days after an ankle sprain, but maybe shouldn't have, as he had several turnovers and got outdated by Joe Flacco, who I am really glad to see having success again.
BENGALS 34, COLTS 14
The resurgent Bengals got another good game from Jake Browning and took care of the Colts, who blew a chance to tie the Jaguars.
JETS 30, TEXANS 6
Sure. The Texans, who had won 4 of 5, go play the lowly Jets and Zach Wilson and after a scoreless 1st half wind up getting crushed. They too blew a chance to tie the Jaguars.
BUCCANEERS 29, FALCONS 25
A late TD by the Bucs got them a big road win which actually moved them into 1st place at 6-7. Considering their tiebreaker over the Vikings, I'm now hoping Tampa wins that division.
SAINTS 28, PANTHERS 6
The Saints also are in that 3 way tie atop the south after smothering the lowly Panthers.
49ERS 28, SEAHAWKS 16
The 49ers kept rolling, taking down the fading Seahawks with some big plays. And they are now the #1 seed.
BILLS 20, CHIEFS 17
I still haven't given up on my super bowl pick, and picked them to win this game. They did get awfully lucky with that late offsides call (which was the right call, sorry Patrick), but they made the plays. The Chiefs just don't have it this year, and only lead the west by a game now.
BRONCOS 24, CHARGERS 7
Justin Herbert went out pretty early with an injury, and that made things pretty easy for Denver, who are in the thick of the division and wild card races.
COWBOYS 33, EAGLES 13
2nd straight blowout loss for the Eagles. Dallas takes over 1st place in the east for now, although the Eagles have the much easier finishing schedule.
Monday:
GIANTS 24, PACKERS 22
😅😅😅
Not even flukey luck plays or refball (that was NOT a fumble) could hand this one to the Packers. It was close though. Luckily, Tommy DeVito led a late drive to get the win.
TITANS 28, DOLPHINS 27
What a weird 4th quarter. The Titans imploded with 2 turnovers and within moments a close game was decided. But then it wasn't, and the Titans became the 1st team in ages to win when down 14 with 3 minutes to go. This may cost the Dolphins the 1 seed.
