NFL Week 17 recap
Thursday:
BROWNS 37, JETS 20
The Joe Flacco hot streak continues, and the Browns clinched a playoff spot for just the 2nd time in 20 years.
Saturday:
COWBOYS 20, LIONS 19
Did the Lions get screwed by that call at the end? Yes. Do I feel any sympathy whatsoever after hearing for the last week from asshole Lions fans that I should shut up about the horrible officiating in our game? Abso-fucking-lutely not. It's called karma, Lions fans (est. 2023). Drink it up.
Sunday:
RAVENS 56, DOLPHINS 19
The Ravens emphatically took home field advantage, completely obliterating the Dolphins. If the Ravens of the last 2 weeks continue they will be in the super bowl without question.
BILLS 27, PATRIOTS 21
A bit of a slog for the Bills, but they won and set up a week 18 game in Miami for the division title
BEARS 37, FALCONS 17
The Bears late season surge continued in a snow game. Atlanta is somehow still alive for their division.
TEXANS 26, TITANS 3
Texans got CJ Stroud back and won easily, setting up a win and in for them next week.
COLTS 23, RAIDERS 20
Colts stayed in a playoff spot, and eliminated the Raiders.
JAGUARS 26, PANTHERS 0
The Trevor Lawrence-less Jags made easy work of the Panthers, who clinched the #1 overall draft pick....for the Bears.
RAMS 26 GIANTS 25
It's rather incredible how even teams who are playing for the Vikings by proxy have stupid bullshit take place. The Giants were very much capable of winning, but missed a PAT, dropped a wide open 2 pt. conversion, and had Mason Crosby come up short on a late field goal to lose.
CARDINALS 35, EAGLES 31
A major upset, as the feisty Cards really dominated that faded Eagles defense, IN Philly no less. It knocked the Eagles back into 2nd, and also put the Lions back in play for the 2 seed.
SAINTS 23, BUCCANEERS 13
Tampa had a chance to clinch the south and eliminate the Saints, but instead were basically dominated in a game not as close as the final score.
49ERS 27, COMMANDERS 10
49ers took care of business on the road and wrapped up home field advantage.
STEELERS 30, SEAHAWKS 23
Yay! The Steelers offensive resurgence under Mason Rudolph continued, and they got a big win not only for themselves, but the Seattle loss ensured that the Vikings cannot be eliminated this week, and are backing a win and in spot.
CHIEFS 25, BENGALS 17
Another grind of a game for the Chiefs, but they always struggle with the Bengals. They clinched the west yet again, and eliminated the Bengals and Broncos.
BRONCOS 16, CHARGERS 9
While being eliminated, the Broncos got a snoozy win after benching Russell Wilson during the week.
